Low Form: Surveillance of the Body

Are you afraid to see yourself as you are? It's uneasy and sometimes comical but do not despair because you are evolving. Sex, politics, gender... it's all in a state of transformation. Your body is changing in this very moment, and so is mine. This connects us. Still, it's hard to see metamorphosis concretely. So I present to you a garden, a reminder of this situation. I have created a satirical representation of a man sitting in the garden. They are more like oversimplified cartoons than physiological representations. They are as rooted here as they are in my life. The clay pieces you see are all unfired and 'nude.' They sit without color, glaze, or clothing. Their cowboy hats symbolize my location and the tradition tied to the geography. My main concern is "observation." The observations I have made about the role our body plays.
